Officially United Republic of Tanzania. It contains the highest mountain of Africa, the Kilimanjaro. Tanzania is a presidential constitutional republic. While Dodoma is the official capital since 1996, Dar es Salaam the former capital is the largest city of Tanzania, contains most of the government offices and has the leading commercial center. Over a 100 different languages are spoken in Tanzania and this makes it the most linguistically diverse country in East Africa.
