London is one of the best spaces to celebrate Christmas. It has loads to offer normally, from Ice Rinks, Christmas Markets, Winter Wonderland and of course Christmas shopping.
Unfortunately this year it was different. But at least we still have something that keeps the Christmas spirit alive. Something that London is really well in doing. And that is the famous Christmas Lights.
There are loads of places to see Christmas lights in London. Of course you can go to Oxford Street, Carnaby Street, New Bond Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden etc. Whole central London is dressed up in this festive spirit.
If you want something more different, why do you not search for some crazy Christmas trees? They have some weird but beautiful artistically shaped Christmas trees around Kings Cross and Coal Drops Yard.
No matter how you want to celebrate Christmas. You are able to do this in London for free, by just walking around the city and admire the beautiful Christmas lights that have been spread out over the city since the 1950’s.
The start of the Christmas lights was to make sure London wouldn’t look drap after the war. And yes this is something that they succeeded on. The festive spirit is definitely alive here in UK’s capital city.
