1. King’s Cross Station
If you head to Platform 9, 10 and 11 on the West Side of the station you will find this Platform 9 3/4 and a Harry Potter gift shop. However the real Platform 9 3/4 is between Platform 4 and 5.
The now modern bridge above those platforms is the place where Harry received his ticket from Hagrid for the Hogwards Express.
2. St. Pancras International
Next to King’s Cross Station you will find St. Pancras International. The front where the hotel is located was used as the front part of the station in the Harry Potter movies. This is also the place where Harry and Ron in the Chamber of Secrets took the car and flew to Hogwarts.
3. Reptile House London Zoo
Home to more than 650 species. Harry Potter discovered in the Philosopher’s Stone here its gift that he is able to talk with snakes.
4. Piccadilly Circus
Remember the Deathly Hallows Part I? There was a wedding going on and the deatheaters interrupted this wedding. Ron, Hermione and Harry escaped, nearly missed a bus at Piccadilly Circus and run through West End area.
5. Millennium Bridge
Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince opens with a dramatic shot where the Millenium Bridge collapses. The deatheaters fly over Tate Modern that you see on one side of the bridge.
On the other side of the bridge you will see St. Paul’s Cathedral. The clocktower here is used in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as the staircase up to Professor Trelawney’s class.
6. The Leaky Cauldron
Leadenhall Market has such an iconic design. It is located closely to Liverpool Street Station. This was the road that let up to the Leaky Cauldron in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
If you enter Bull’s Head Passage, you will find here the Leaky Cauldron.
7. Lambeth Bridge
You remember the night bus scene in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban? The purple bus that manage to squeeze through two red London buses in the middle of the night. Well that was right here on Lambeth Bridge!
8. Westminster Tube Station
Westminster Bridge Tube Station had to be closed down for an entire day. So they could use this location in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when Harry visits his tribunal visit at the Ministry of Magic.
And yes when you walk around the area to Scotland Yard you will find here the entrance to the Ministry of Magic.
9. Gringotts Wizarding Bank
Scenes for Gringotts Wizarding Bank (the only known bank of the wizarding world) in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone were filmed in the grand interior of Australia House on Strand in central London. Unfortunately this place isn’t open for public. But if you ask the security person really nicely you might be able to have a sneak peak.
10. Borough Market
Well this is a great place to have some food for the market. Actually you need to head to El Pastor at the end of the market to see the film location.
In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry arrived with the night bus at this place which was used as the Leaky Cauldron. He stayed here for another 2 months before it was time to go back to Hogwarts.
