It’s is one of those really breathtaking places that everyone always seems to be raving about. With a plethora of diverse experiences to be had, there’s with something for everyone from the backpacker to the city slicker. Let’s take a look at why you should add this one to your bucket list (if it’s not already made the cut).

Sydney Harbour

Everyone who flocks to Sydney can’t risk missing out on the sights of The Harbour! The Sydney Opera house is the most famous sight here, a stunning piece of 20th-century architecture (to fill your Instagram boots). You can book tickets to see a performance, if that’s your thing, for there are over 40 performances a week along with the opportunity to take backstage tours too. Once you’re here why not take a climb to the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge; conquer the summit and indulge in those glorious panoramic views. There are plenty of beautiful places in Sydney to explore so if you’re wondering where is the best place to take a day trip you’ll be super spoilt for choice.

The Great Barrier Reef

Grab your snorkelling gear and prepare to be well blown away by the world’s largest living organism. The reef is home a massive amount of marine life and is made up of over 3,000 reef systems and hundreds of gorgeous tropical paradises from Hayman Island to Lizard Island. You’ll find the most stunning golden beaches to get yourself exploring.

For wildlife lovers

Australia is absolute heaven for wildlife lovers, with so many different creatures to keep on the lookout for from kangaroos to koala bears, emus and lizards, snakes and crocs-you name it! Ensure to follow safety advice from the locals and online before you venture ( you don’t want to get caught up in a fight with a spider or snake that could do you some damage)!

Beautiful National Parks

Australia famously boasts 19 World Heritage sites and over 550 national parks. You’ll have plenty of options to get your nature fix, marvel and some stunning scenery and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Here you can conquer the wetlands of Kakadu and Litchfield national parks or venture along the Great Alpine Road and take in the wondrous landscapes. There are so many walking trails to choose from to immerse you fully in the natural world.

Amongst all this, there’s the chance to sample delicious foods at top restaurants or do it the Aussie way and get your bbq on! Australians are often famed for their great wit and friendly laid back vibes, many report how at ease they felt travelling about there and how many new pals they gained on their adventures!

Australia is one of those places where the possibilities to have once-in-a-lifetime experiences are ample, popping it on your travel-happy bucket list is definitely worth considering!
